Brain Awareness Week 2026

From 16 to 22 March 2026, the Stroke Alliance for Europe (SAFE) presented the POC4TRIAGE project as part of Brain Awareness Week, alongside other EU-funded initiatives working to improve stroke care.

POC4TRIAGE demonstrates how innovative technology can support faster and more accurate stroke diagnosis when every minute counts. The project is testing portable, non-invasive brain-monitoring devices in ambulances and emergency departments across Europe, including sites in the Netherlands and Spain.

By participating in the research, patients are helping clinicians better understand how strokes can be recognised earlier. Their contribution could lead to faster treatment, improved outcomes, and better recovery for future stroke patients.

Many thanks to SAFE and all project partners for their strong collaboration and shared commitment to advancing stroke care and saving lives.
